Questions & Answers
Question : Give me your opinion insights and summary or how you understand this..?
Give me your opinion insights and summary or how you understand this..?
Answer:
Reality check.
The philippines has good sound laws but corrupt political influences always delay the implementation of these laws.
By the time these laws are enforced, they become so obsolete that another law must be passed (just like the politicians who regularly pass gas - i.e. fart through their mouth).

Question : 2001 Chevy Venture taking 2 much gas, producing black smoke, turning off while I am waiting at a traffic light
I changed my engine 3 weeks ago as I blew up my head gasket. Ever since the engine change, my van is taking a LOT of gas and sometimes produces lots of clear smoke when I am driving on he highway. If I am parked in P, and give some gas, it is producing lots of black smoke. Also, my engine light has been on for a while and I took it to AutoZone today and they checked my van's computer. The analyzer reported that I have Mass Air Flow sensor and O2 sensor problem. So, today I replaced the MAF sensor and the problems seems NOT to have gone. I still see occasionally clear smoke while giving gas on highway and black smoke while being in P. I have already spent $3000 on my van changing the engine and spent $250 today changing MAF sensor and my battery as it was dying out.
As I said b4, while waiting at a light being in D, after 5-10 secs my van will start shaking and will eventually turn off.
Any help will be appreciated as I am very helpless.
Thank you all.
Answer:
When the check engine light goes on it means the cars computer is seeing a fault in one or more systems. Getting the trouble codes from an autoparts store can steer you in the right direction to repair but the code has to be diagnosed. It is not always a faulty sensor, it could be a bad ground, an open wire in a sensor circuit. I'm sure you don't want to go spend more money guessing the problem. A few things you can check to make sure that you must have a qualified tech fix the problem is to check the basics. 1. Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight. 2. Make sure the vacuum hoses are routed correctly and there are no leaks. 3. Make sure all electrical connections are properly connected and tight. You said that you had the engine changed because the head gasket was blown, as long as the engine is in good shape and the proper one for the vehicle it should run as well as it did before you blew the head gasket.

Question : What is Manufacturer Powertrain Problem Code 1391 for Acura SUV 19997?
My car is Acura SLX 1997 SUV and often times, whenever I drive it shows sign of "check engine." When diagnosed, it shows a code of 1391, meaning, Manufacturer Powertrain Problem or Trouble. What does it means? What is the trouble with my car? When erased thru the used of engine analyzer, it appeared again after 2 hours?
Answer:
I think you will have to go to the dealership about this one. This code does not show up on any Acura list. In generic terms, P1391 glow plug circuit low input (bank #1). Your car is not a diesel. Where you given the right code?

I vaguely remember something from years ago about the ecmb being the injector driver,If that was the case, then maybe there is something strange going on with the injectors or wiring at the throttle body.Just a thought, don't want to send you down the wrong path.

Question : What's up with the Meta Tag Analyzers on SEO sites?
My tags are good, at least they follow all the tutorial guidelines from www.w3schools.com. Yet these sites can't find them is it a gimic to get people to doubt they know how to do meta, so these search engine optimization sites can get paid. Question : My dodge b1500 1997 van 3.9L 6cyl. The van cuts off-replaced many sensors any ideas?
It happens when i come to stop at a light or after i stop (for gas) and crusing down the highway it starts to cut off and i have to restart on road.
I think it is some sensor because i replaced:
Fuel pump - (in tank) It was going bad anyway as it turned out (no fuel pressure - not up to spec) so this was good
TPS throttle position sensor
Ignition Coil
Distributor Coil
Idle Air Cntrol
Rotor/distbutor
Plug wires
Plugs
Air filter.
Of course, It runs much better as these DID need changing but, it still stalls. Seems to be no way to predict conditions that occur to cause the engine
shutdown. I noticed the lights did go out once when it was about to stall. But that doesnt happen every time.
I dont have enough $ to replace all the sensors and / or the EMT computer (unless you know that is what is wrong).
The van usually starts back up but sometimes with difficulty. Sometimes I must turn off the key and try again to get it started. Otherwise, if I start
cranking it then it doesn't fire up. It's like it is not getting fuel, but, see details below for what I have replaced.
Anyway, no codes come back. it failed while on the analyzer and they still couldnt figure it out. I was told a relay could be bad too. I switched all the
identical relays around but no luck.
--------------
The parts I want to try next are expensive so I am trying to narrow this down:
Ignition Switch
Crank position sensor
Cam position sensor
MCU (computer)
I appreciate any and all answers. There are no codes and I did replace the serpentine belt. All the sensors I replaced needed replacing. I am glad I replaced them. This is 10-yr old technology and if you remember computers were just barley Pentium chips. Car computers were far behind and much more simple. The computer is fairly hot to touch but, I dont know how much heat it can tolerate. For those who are saying have it tested, I need to know what to look for in the type of testing equipment that should be used and how much to spend on testing. I agree Chrysler or Dodge would be the best place to have it tested. But I fear the 400.00 bill surprise for the testing then have to still buy the part and replace it. I'd rather replace all the parts in a logical order and use that $ for parts.
Answer:
First, if it was a Sensor It would come up on the Diagnostic Read Out. You Said Part of the Problem: If I try to Start the Engine right after it Dies "It's Like It's Getting NO Fuel!" At the Fuel Tank there 2 Air Vents 1 a Small vent Hole in the Fuel Cap (Replace Cap) 2 Vent Tube on the Top of the Tank with a Small hose, Hose or Tube Could be Blocked or Clogged! (As Fuel leaves the Tank a Vacuum is Created, Air comes in through the Vents to Prevent That Vacuum to Maintain Fuel Flow.)
Alternator: With a Good Charged Battery & Engine Running you should read 12.8V to 13.7v at the Battery Showing you that the Alternator is Working Properly. Also Have the Alternator Tested for a Corrct Amperage Output!
Battery; If 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 Years Old or looks Swollen (Shorted) on the Sides Replace It! If the Battery Seems good, with it Fully Charged have it "Load Tested" at 50% CCA for 15 Seconds! Battery should Not Drop Below 9.6 Volts During the Test! This shows you that the Battery will Take and Hold a Charge.
With a Hand Held Gage Check the Fuel Pressure at the Fuel Pump on the Engine or at the throttle Body. If Good Do you have Fuel at the Injectors (Loosen!! "One at a Time") Lines at the Injectors? ("Take the Coil Wire Off For this Test!!)
Do you Have Spark at the Plugs? May need New Plug Wires and/or Plugs.
NOTE; Control units are: ECM (Engine Control Module for the Engime) & ECU (Electronic Control Unit for the Transmission)
