This cable has a 12 pin OBD1 connector to plug in under your cars dash to interface to your cars ECM. This cable is the most convenient to use if your car is equipped with the 12 pin connector style, as it allows you to just feel under the dash to plug it in.
This cable comes with a software CD with the USB drivers, instructions, and a number of the free software packages.
This cable works on cars that have the serial data pin on pin M or pin E of the GM 12 pin OBD1 ALDL connector, which is most every 1982 to 1995 GM car. Pin M indicates 8192 baud and pin E indicates 160 baud rate serial communication speed.
Customer Review :
Yes it works.
I bought it, pluged it in installed all the recommended freeware that came with it, tried all the software until I found one that worked for me, TuneRT I think.. remember read the instructions on the paper too.. the PDF and the disks auto run.. it's not all to complicated, it just has to be done specific for your vehicle..
walla , revs spark fuel Maf, O2 on and on.. for less than a service charge at your local dealership.

Questions & Answers
Question : Online tools to analyse other eCommerce websites?
I am creating some eCommerce websites and I would like to undertake a feasibility study on my competitors. In order to access other eCommerce websites of the same nature, I would like to know what tools are available to me to gauage my online competition. For instance;
To see a webpage as the search engines do, running the Keyword Density Analyzer is helpful;
- KeyWord Density: http://www.searchengineworld.com/cgi-bin/kwda.cgi
- Google Pagerank provides a rough ranking of a webpage
- Google Site Search: Enables me to restrict my search to a specific website using the site:sampledomain.com syntax in the Google searchbox
- Google links: The query link:siteURL shows me the webpages that point to that specific URL.
Answer:
My favorite tool to spy on my competition is Total Optimizer Pro http://www.totaloptimizer.com/ -- it tells me how the other websites got their top ranking that I can then emulate.
Other tools I use are
Keyword density tool http://googlerankings.com/ultimate_seo_tool.php
SEO Book - lots of free great SEO tools http://tools.seobook.com/
I also learn a lot from Internet Retailer's Top 500 http://www.internetretailer.com/top500/list.asp -- they may be way above my league but it is incredibly useful to learn from the big boys

Question : Will I over extend my credit?
Two years ago I had no credit. So my mom co-signed on a car for me. I have been making more than the monthy payment for two years. 6 months ago I was able to open two credit cards. Both are nearly maxed out but due to a bonus I just received from work, one will be paid off ($1000 credit limit) and the other will be half paid off ($4000 credit limit). My current credit score is currently 710 but using a credit analyzer my credit score should go up by almost 40 points by paying down my cards. In a few months my fiance and I want to buy a house. He just filed for bankruptcy (court is completed but it is not fully discharged yet) so we will be relying on my credit for the house purchase. Recently his engine blew in his car. He wants me to co-sign on a car loan for him. If I do this how will it affect me being able to buy a house? Will my credit be over extended?
My fiance is 34 so he will not ask his parents for help. He is a grown man. I do not have bad CC debt so I don't need to reduce my debt. I am using those cards to increase my credit score. I carried balances on them for 6 months and now I will be paying them off. In doing so I will raise my already 710 credit score up by 40 points!!!Please stop giving me suggestions to credit counseling. I just wanted to know about how finacing a car will affect buying a house.
Answer:
If possible - wait until you get the house before you do anything about the other car. Especially if the lender is only looking at your income/credit. If you co-sign it goes against your debt-to-income ratio. So yes, it can over extended your credit.

Question : i have a 99 jeep cherokee limited 4.0l that has an intermitent shuddering the check engine light is on?
the analyzer said possible # 6 cyl misfires put new plugs and wires also says malfunction in electric torque converter, also
tps malfunction, also pedal position sensor jeep runs good
90% of time than wammy takes a fit any suggestions
Answer:
first of all, have all the faults cleared, and see what comes back.you might have fixed the misfire faults with the wires and plugs.the tps(throttle position sensor) is the same as pedal position sensor.the tps is one of the inputs that controls the torque converter clutch (tcc) to engage and release.if the sensor reading to the power train control module(pcm) which controls the lock up of the tcc is giving an erratic signal to the pcm, this could make the clutch shudder(on and off) and will also effect the way the engine runs too.I have seen this happen before in the past, after the engine gets up to temp.the internal sweep inside the tps will warp from the heat.they are about $40-$70 from a dealer(recommends) vs.aftermarket which might not last as long.good luck.

Question : Give me your opinion insights and summary or how you understand this..?
Give me your opinion insights and summary or how you understand this..?
Answer:
Reality check.
The philippines has good sound laws but corrupt political influences always delay the implementation of these laws.
By the time these laws are enforced, they become so obsolete that another law must be passed (just like the politicians who regularly pass gas - i.e. fart through their mouth).

Question : Why are emission tests unreliable, yet the testers act like they know it all? One couldn't even find the DLC.
I failed emissions and then circled around and went to a different test stall and passed.
I warmed up the engine and drove a bit prior to getting tested.
I had tested it as well with my 4 gas analyzer and it was within specs.
Also, there was no line so I didn't have to sit and idle at all.
This has happened to me three times in three different vehicles (no fords) in the last 10 years. One was a Chevy sprint, one was a '77 vette L48, one was an Olds Delta 88.
I believe the tests are not accurate or the equipment is miscalibrated, or it's just a money making scheme for the State and Certified Emissions Repair Services.
Also, the last one I took through, ('84 500SEL) failed miserably, Like by 1000%. I threw a tune up and adjusted the timing (which was out 20 degrees) and it ran great so I went for it. This time though, I idled for about 20 minutes while they couldn't input the title data. (this car had never had emissions not required where it came from). Also didn't run it prior.
Answer:
Anthony: You are a smart guy. Ever notice the Testing Company IS NOT from the state your living in?
Key word is "Money Making Scheme". I have had to pass Vehicle emissions tests in N.Y., Arizona, Idaho, & Tennessee.
All Hot Rods. Fail first time, readjusted and was back in 15 minutes. Testing company said How and who made repairs.
I said myself, and no repair, ADJUSTMENTS. Passed every time on second pass. One time, I had mufflers with outside baffles. The guy didn't know where to take exhaust sample.
A well tuned stock 1966 Chevrolet Impala with a 2 BBL carb.
(283 CID ) will STILL pass any test in any state.
My opinion: Same as yours. Scam!

Question : Using SQL server 2000? what all i require?
I have a small project in VB.Net that uses database connectivity. I m just confused how to use that project. It is a database application where we create 4 tables in SQL server 2000 and do the database connectivity in the VB.Net forms. Now i want to know that what all components do i require to do the database connectivity.
1. i just have to use SQL server 2000 edition and Visual studio 2003.
Do i also require a MSDE i.e is the databse engine or just SQL server will do the the database part. As far as i remember we have a query analyzer in SQL server 2000 and we can make tables in that using SQL queries.
pls help me in this situation as i really need to run that project by any means.
remember - The project is just a database application in VB.Net in which we create tables ,store some data in that tables in the code and retrieve it.
Answer:
You do not need MSDE. That is for stand-a-lone databases that reside locally. Since you have an external server to attach to, all you need is the ODBC or whatever you use for your program to connect to the SQL server. The connectivity is built into VB.

Question : 2001 Hyundai Elantra - Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction?
The check engine light comes on sometimes but usually turns back off soon. The car never had a problem driving. A few weeks ago, the engine light came on. A few days passed and nothing seemed wrong, until I tried to start my car one night. It seemed like it was about to crank but couldn't completely start. After three times, it finally started, and this has happened a few more times. I took it to a friend and he said that I needed a new air filter, injector fluid cleaner, and other cleaner spray he can put through the system (I can't remember the name). I bought the air filter and injector fluid at Advanced Auto Parts, and I got them to use a engine analyzer machine on my car. This is what the machine said: P0456 ECAP Emission Control System Leak Very Small, P0455 EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large), and P0705 Trans Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction. How much would it cost to fix the transmission range sensor circuit malfunction? How does one fix this? What else could be the prob?
Also- My air filter was filty (I drive on dirt roads a lot). when I lifted up the air filter, I found dirt, which I vacuumed out. I replaced the filter already. The guy at Advanced Auto told me not to worried about the first two problems, but to worry about the transmission problem first.
Also, I don't know if this helps - but sometimes it takes my car a few seconds to accelerate when I drive, like my car is having trouble shifting gears (it's an automatic).
Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I am a complete car idiot. I don't know if I should worry this much or if it's something to worry about. I don't know what to do next! And I think I'mdriving my dad and boyfriend crazy with my worrying haha.
Thanks for your answers.
Paul, after I put the new air filter in and also put injector fluid into my full gas tank, it accelerates a lot better.
Also, I had lost my gas cap and bought a new one the day the guy at advanced auto parts used the machine on my car.
Now the only things I'm worried about are:
Number one- the transmission range thing? My power steering pump is shot, would that have anything to do with that?
Number two- Someone advised me to buy injector fluid spray so they could spray it into the system. I haven't been able to find it. Is there another name for it?
Answer:
the EVAP codes are from the gas cap.
the trans range sensor is not only a neutral safety switch(only allows car to be started in park or neutral)but also tells the trans controller(computer) what gear you are in.if the computer gets the wrong signal you will have shifting problems. as far as how much money? depends if the switch is bad?an electrical short?bad computer?
and dont listen to these people telling you to put additives in your car they often do more harm than good.
change all your fluids and filters regularly!
